- ➤ Caritas Family Solutions received the 2025 Award for Treating Foster Parents with Dignity and Respect from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for its innovative Foster Parent Law Implementation Plan. The nonprofit, which serves Southern Illinois from Belleville, was chosen among over 50 agencies and will continue to support foster parents—strengthening care for children. Riverbender
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A fungal disease called Red Crown Rot has spread to 9 Missouri counties and 34 Illinois counties, threatening soybean crops that make billions for the states — fields infected by the disease can lose up to 80% of their yield. Experts say farmers must clean their equipment after working in infected fields to slow the spread. KSDK
