- ➤ Yesterday, the Bi-State Development board voted to shift its $1.1 billion MetroLink Green Line project from light rail to bus rapid transit—planners said the agency will rework the design using completed environmental assessments and station locations and hold public input sessions. KSDK
- ➤ Village Mayor Gary Bost said tests show Bethalto water is safe despite resident concerns over brown water, which is caused by low levels of iron and manganese. The Village is flushing pipes, repairing filters, and planning to replace 11,921 feet of water lines to improve quality — residents with discoloration are urged to call for inspections. First Alert 4

- ➤ Home Builders and Remodelers Metro East Association is leading infill programs in Belleville, Granite City and in conversation on one in Alton's Riverbend area to help first-time buyers save money and revitalize neighborhoods. - ➤ The Play It Again Sports Roundup recapped boys soccer and girls volleyball results from Sept. 23 to 25—Mascoutah beat Jersey 3-0 with two goals from Mike Kuebler while Belleville West defeated Alton 6-1 with braces from Adam Bilzing, Gavin Enyart, and Trey Goodrich.
