Greater St. Louis Inc. announced that Ron Kitchens, president and CEO of the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, will become its new chief executive in early November—bringing more than three decades of economic development experience from his work in Michigan, Alabama, Missouri, and Texas.

Edwardsville Tigers beat Belleville West 32—19 on Sept.

24 at Tiger Stadium as Remi Werden scored two touchdowns, threw for another, Serena Shapiro scored two, and Ella Wallace threw for four scores. The win improved the Tigers to a 5—1 record as they will meet the Lancers Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Belleville.

Belleville West's girls flag football team played in Edwardsville on September 24 and held a 19—14 lead at halftime but lost 32—19 overall as they showed strong effort on the field.

They will next face Peoria Central Saturday at 12:45 p.m., East Side on September 29 at 6 p.m., and Belleville East on October 1 at 7 p.m.
