A man from Swansea was found alive Saturday after being missing for a week when volunteers located him on private property near a church—he was taken to a hospital for treatment after showing signs of weakness.

23 near Christ Church in Fairview Heights, was found alive by Missouri Valley Search and Rescue Saturday morning—he is now receiving treatment at a local hospital for severe dehydration.

Police officers in O’Fallon responded to a disturbance on the 600 block of West Madison Drive and found two people covered in blood fleeing from a man who refused to drop his knife — he was fatally shot while officers treated his wounds and two stabbed individuals were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
