- ➤ On July 12, an East St. Louis man was arrested after he hit and killed Coryesha Davis on State Street and is now held at the St. Clair County Jail—state authorities charged him with failing to report, stop or render aid following the accident. First Alert 4
- ➤ Police are investigating two separate shootings at McDonald’s restaurants — in Belleville, a female employee shot two people at 125 South Belt East on Wednesday with victims taken to the hospital in stable condition and the suspect in custody, while in St. Louis a male suspect fired shots shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday with no injuries reported. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Siteman Cancer Center is recruiting participants ages 45 to 75 from the St. Louis region for a free national trial of a blood test that can detect up to eight cancers—some of which do not have routine screening. The study aims to enroll 2,000 people over two years and will follow up with more tests if a positive result occurs. KSDK
