Riverbend reminds local residents to visit cooling centers as temperatures rise this week — the centers in Belleville, Alton, Bethalto, Collinsville, East Alton, Edwardsville, Godfrey, Glen Carbon, Granite City, Highland, and Wood River offer safe places to cool off.

Operating hours range from early morning to evening to help those in need of relief.
