- ➤ Thomas S. Ripley, a 22-year-old bicyclist from Fairmont City (3700 block of Cookson Road), died after being struck by a tow truck on Collinsville Road near Illinois 203 early Friday morning and Illinois State Police are investigating the crash. St. Louis Post-Dispatch
