Rock the Blue 2026 is a fundraiser for BackStoppers that will take place on Saturday, June 6 in downtown Belleville from Noon to 11:00 p.m. The event aims to cover every Belleville police officer’s membership dues and will feature live music, BBQ, bourbon tastings, and family activities.

Illinois lawmakers approved bills to limit cellphone use in schools & boost online safety for children, sending them to Gov. Pritzker for review.
The General Assembly also passed a supply tax holiday for August and delayed a fuel tax increase to January.

Metro-East high school students from Belleville and O’Fallon received the ImpactLife Student Impact Award for donating blood, volunteering and hosting drives during the busy end-of-school year period — their recognition includes a certificate and red cord symbolizing community commitment.
