- ➤ The American Water Charitable Foundation and Illinois American Water are accepting applications today for their Hydration Station Grant Program to fund reusable water bottle filling stations in public spaces. - ➤ Donovan Davis, a 27-year-old man from St. Charles, was charged with first-degree murder for fatally shooting 26-year-old Mark Morris Jr. on May 12 outside a Metro East nightclub in Washington Park—an off-duty officer shot him to stop the threat and his injuries were not life-threatening. - ➤ At Eastern Illinois University's O'Brien Stadium in Charleston, the IHSA state girls track meet finals ended Saturday with Father McGivney Catholic's Elana Rybak winning the Class 1A 800 and 1,600 meter races and the Triad relay team taking the Class 2A title.
