- ➤ Edwardsville won the IHSA Class 3A boys sectional track meet on May 21 at OTHS Panther Stadium in O'Fallon with 120.5 points while Belleville West finished second with 72 points and Belleville East placed third — state qualifiers will compete next Friday at O'Brien Stadium on Eastern Illinois University campus. - ➤ In Tuesday's baseball games, O'Fallon won 3—2 over Edwardsville in an 8‐inning game at Blazier Field while Highland beat Effingham 5—3 and Belleville East rallied to beat Collinsville 7—5. In Monday’s play‐in games, White Hall, Dupo, Okawville, and Althoff advanced and volleyball matches saw wins for Belleville Althoff Catholic and Belleville East — setting the stage for upcoming playoff matchups.
