Adam Bilzing, a Belleville West High School senior, has been awarded the inaugural Jim Barganier Memorial Scholarship by TWM, Inc. today at Belleville West (the $2,500 award supports his STEM studies) and will attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for Civil Engineering this fall.

The Illinois Department of Transportation rescheduled lane closures on I-55/70 in St. Clair County to start Monday, June 1 for pavement and structure repairs - drivers should use alternate routes during peak hours as delays are expected, and work will continue through summer 2027.
