Belleville Police investigated a reckless discharge of a firearm on April 16 at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Dale Allen Drive and Chaucer Drive — officers later found two unoccupied vehicles with bullet holes and detained two juveniles for interviews.
Edwardsville hurdler Sophie Shapiro broke her 100—meter hurdles record to 14.35 seconds and set a new 400—meter record of 57.40 seconds on Friday at the O’Fallon Girls Invitational at OTHS Panther Stadium while Belleville East won the team title with 131 points and the Tigers finished fourth.
