The Belleville East Lancers lost 8—7 to Edwardsville in a nine-inning softball game, and coach Natalie Peters said she was pleased with the offense but wants the defense to improve; the team will play at Breese Mater Dei Catholic on Wednesday, host Collinsville today at 4:30 p.m.—and face Murphysboro in a Saturday morning doubleheader at 11 a.m.
