On Saturday, United Way and the Salvation Army provided food boxes with perishable and non-perishable items to more than 120 families affected by the May 16 tornado.
Survivors said the drive helped ease repair costs in north city — a welcome reminder of community support.

IDOT announced that Lebanon Avenue from West Boulevard to Grove Avenue in St. Clair County will close for railway crossing rehab from Tuesday, Apr.
14 through Friday, Apr. 17 (weather permitting); drivers should follow posted detours to avoid delays.
