- ➤ A severe tornado hit a Bond County home on Wednesday as a woman ran to her basement for safety—she was injured and rushed to the hospital after her home was destroyed. KSDK

- ➤ The Major Case Squad is investigating the fatal shooting of Jamya T. Dukes, 22, from Granite City, who died Tuesday night at Touchette Regional Hospital after unidentified individuals brought her there (the investigation was initiated at the request of Cahokia Heights police). - ➤ Two St. Louis-area chefs advanced to the final round for the 2025 James Beard Foundation Awards — Loryn Nalic, co-owner and chef at Balkan Treat Box and Telva at the Ridge, and Jane Sacro Chatham, chef de cuisine at Vicia. Winners will be announced on June 16. KSDK
