- ➤ Local leaders from both sides of the Mississippi recalled Reverend Jesse Jackson's support during turbulent events including his attendance at Michael Brown's funeral and his steady advocacy for civil rights, emphasizing the hope he brought to their community. First Alert 4

- ➤ Local author Katie Otey, featured on Turn the Page with Paige, will be honored next week at the State Capitol for outstanding achievement in arts and humanities — her book Every Other Christmas shows kids that holiday traditions differ between families. First Alert 4

- ➤ Health officials reported a measles case at Lambert Airport on Feb. 7 & at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville on Feb. 8. They advised anyone exposed to monitor for symptoms for 21 days. First Alert 4
