ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Chris Corsano is a Chicago-based drummer working across collective improvisation, free jazz, avant-rock, and experimental music since the late 1990s. His extensive collaborations include Joe McPhee, Paul Flaherty, Mette Rasmussen, Zoh Amba, Sir Richard Bishop, Bill Orcutt, Jim O'Rourke, and Björk, with whom he performed on her Volta album and world tour.

Kim Alpert is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice combines analog and digital technologies, movement, music, and interactivity to create sculptural and performance-based video systems. Her work centers on humanism, with explorations of psychology, spirituality, and the ways visual language creates meaning.

Alex Cunningham is a St. Louis-based violinist, improviser, and visual artist whose recorded work spans free improvisation, drone, noise, and minimalist composition. He has collaborated with artists including Lisa Cameron, Damon Smith, claire rousay, Mark Shippy, Patrick Shiroishi, Jessica Ackerley, Sandy Ewen, Weasel Walter, Jaap Blonk, and K. Curtis Lyle, among many others. His music has been released on labels including Close/Far Recordings, Personal Archives, Already Dead Tapes and Records, Astral Editions, Infrequent Seams, Balance Point Acoustics, and Astral Spirits.

K. Curtis Lyle is a St. Louis-based poet, performer, and founding member of the Watts Writers Workshop in Los Angeles. His work has been published and anthologized internationally, with a longstanding practice of bringing poetry into conversation with improvised music. He developed an extensive performing and recording relationship with saxophonist and composer Julius Hemphill, including the recording The Collected Poem for Blind Lemon Jefferson . His published works include Electric Church , The Epileptic Camel Driver Speaks to a Refugee Death , and Nailed Seraphim .

Maureen Keaveny is a St. Louis-based multidisciplinary artist working across experimental sound and visual art.
