Music Eaters Meeting #30

About this event

Meeting 30 SUN DEC 6 2:00 - 4:45 Upstairs lounge of the Royale Food & Spirits

Focus Album TBD Theme TBD From our host, TBD:

Show up ready to discuss the focus album as we play it in full. And play a song or two to that fits the theme.

About: Music Eaters music club meets monthly at the upstairs lounge of The Royale Food & Spirits to discuss, over a play through, the focus album. We'll play the whole album. After a break, we gather for the second half and play your song picks from that month's theme.

The purpose of the club is to talk and share and learn about music with others. Every meeting will result in a corresponding playlist on YouTube, Spotify & Apple Music.

How do I join? RSVP here to save a seat. The group gets too big somewhere around 12+ people. Official signup at signupgenious here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F084BADAD29A6F94-67249143-meeting

Who chooses the album and sets the theme? A randomized drawing occurs, using the Wheel of Names, on the first Wednesday night, 9pm, after each month's meeting, choosing from those who have RSVP'd by then. Info updated on meetup and facebook.

RSVP a spot any time but on the Wednesday that follows every meeting, the Wheel of Names spins to pick the host from the list of RSVPs. The Wheel spins on the Wednesday night following the last meeting at 9:00 p.m. Results posted here. The person who chooses the focus album is responsible for hosting a discussion and play-through in part 1. They also set a theme: in part 2, attendees--even the chosen host--are invited to play songs that fit the theme.

Do I need to listen to the album in advance? Yes. The expectation is that the group will spend time with the focus album in advance of the meetings. This may or may not be your first experience with it.
