Jackie Joyner-Kersee opened a new innovation center at her foundation campus covering 100 acres in East St. Louis Wednesday morning to offer training in agriculture, STEM and entrepreneurship. The center will help local youth build future opportunities.
The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the westbound ramps at the I-64/Illinois 157 interchange closed at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 for road construction & are expected to reopen at 4 p.m. Monday, June 22. Eastbound ramps will close immediately after and are set to reopen at 4 p.m. Monday, June 29, weather permitting.
