The St. Clair County Transit District added a third Redbird Express bus for Cardinals home games, transporting fans from 100 South First Street in Belleville to downtown St. Louis. Buses run 60 to 90 minutes before the first pitch and end 45 minutes after; round-trip tickets cost $10.
The Cahokia School District reached a tentative four-year labor contract with the union representing teachers (and secretaries, service workers) on Wednesday, providing competitive pay to boost recruitment while ratification by the union and formal Board approval are still pending.
